The 38.1m / 125' Custom sail yacht 'Kaori' was built by Palmer Johnson in United States at their Sturgeon Bay, WI shipyard , she was delivered to her owner in 1992 and last refitted in 2006. This luxury vessel's sophisticated exterior design and engineering are the work of C. W. Paine Yacht Design, Inc.. Previously named Mandalay, her luxurious interior was designed by Jane Plachter.

Kaori's interior configuration has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests overnight in 4 cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 5 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Kaori features a displacement aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks.
Performance
Powered by 2 Caterpillar (3406TA) 0hp diesel engines and propelled by her twin screw propellers sailing yacht Kaori is capable of a top speed of 13 knots, and comfortably cruises at 10 knots when powered by her engines. With her 21,764 litres fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 2,600 nautical miles at 10 knots. Her water tanks store around 7,500 litres of fresh water.
